It’s All Fun and Exciting Until Someone gets Hurt!
"Wait Until You're 18!"
I can remember turning 21. It was the most exciting age I have reached so far. Don’t get me wrong, there are other marker point birthdays that I can remember, but none of them were quite like 21. Turning 21 feels so Official and free. It’s your right of passage. You go your whole childhood waiting to become an adult. They tell you, “Wait until you’re 18”, but you get there, and there are still restrictions. So, once you wrap your mind around the sick little joke society and your parents have played on you for 18 years, you patiently wait for your final restriction to be removed. So, you can finally move around the world freely, with the wind blowing in your hair and nothing but an open road ahead of you. The big day comes and you’re feeling complete “BadASS” vibes. No one can tell you a thing. You’re tossing back shots as your supporters chant, “Shots! Shots! Shots!”. You’re killing Karaoke for the first time ever and you’re not exactly sure how or why, but you are on fire! Painting the city red with no boundaries or restrictions. Completely living it up with no ceilings. Until some misunderstanding, leads to some unfortunate event, that leads to this amazing, exciting day, ending in turmoil.
The scenario explained above describes the message behind the content I will create for BikerFest Block Party. Based on the demographics of BikerFest’s Target market, fun, exciting stories about youthful fun will resonate best with the audience. The one thing that bikers have in common with non-bikers is that they all enjoy fun and excitement. They all want to have fun, but what happens when it goes wrong? How do both bikers and non-bikers get home safely after all the excitement?
This Is what BikerFest Block Party is all about.
This Is what BikerFest Block Party is all about. BikerFest is a non-profit organization that advocates for biker safety. They want to raise an awareness between bikers and non-biker, encouraging education for safer practices when sharing the roads. To get this message across, I plan to put together a compellation video full of exciting biker footage that ends bad due to a lack of understanding on the road. The feeling of the video, in the beginning, will be minor incidents and exciting motorcycle stunts on the road. The clips will build up until the final clip is fatal, ending with an official biker fest message, like “Have Fun! Get Excited! But Be Safe!”
The message is universal. So simple, even a baby can get it. Creating video content with this message will appeal to the target market. Still, it also has the potential to go viral, creating more awareness of the company and attracting more bodies to the block party for the following year. The content will use excitement to grab attention and connect with the audience, using the impact of tragedy to drive the seriousness of the message leaving a lasting and memorable impact on the audience that can evoke action.
